Heather and Adam’s amazing New Orleans wedding was so ridiculously fun to photograph, so I’m super excited that it was featured this week on Rock N’ Roll Bride. You can check out the feature to read all about the inspiration for their day (Dutch still-life painting meets mystical New Orleans) and hear all about their experience putting on a DIY destination wedding from across the country.
Heather and I have known each other a long time, and she’s an incredibly talented artist and photographer, so when she called and asked if I’d be willing to travel to New Orleans for her wedding, I leaped at the chance. Literally. I’m pretty sure I jumped up and down. I had never been to New Orleans, so I rented an apartment in the French Quarter, brought my husband with me and spent a week exploring the city, including an awesome New Years Eve fireworks display over the Mississippi River.
Race and Religious, their wedding venue, is one of the coolest places I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. The building has an amazing history and is full of incredible details and artifacts.
Thanks to Heather and Adam for having me at your amazing wedding! It was an awesome experience that I won’t soon forget!
