Lauren & Ryan Engagement – Providence, RI

Lauren & Ryan are just pure adorableness. (Is that a word? Is now.) We met up in Providence for their engagement photos on 11/11/11, which was a really popular day for weddings – we saw three wedding parties taking photos while we were out shooting. We were all praying that we’d be able to find some last gasp foliage, and were so excited to pull up to this sweet little park overlooking Providence & the State House. It was freeeeeezing out & the wind was whipping us all around, but they were such good sports- especially Lauren, who was determined to get some photos in her cute blue dress! Later in the day, we popped into Johnny Rockets on Thayer Street to warm up & enjoy some milkshakes & cheeseburgers. It was a perfect treat after suffering the cold November wind! Congrats Ryan & Lauren! Can’t wait for your wedding this Summer!!

Mary & Tim – Venus Di Milo, Swansea, MA

Mary & Tim were married this summer in a sweet church ceremony in Swansea, followed by an afternoon reception at the Venus DiMilo. Mary was one of the smiliest brides I’ve worked with, it was such a pleasure to photograph their day.

Nicole & Phil engagement – Taunton, MA

Nicole is my bestie from way back. Like, waaaaay back. Secretly holding hands in our fourth grade class picture back. She and Phil were married last night in a beautiful ceremony, followed by a rocking reception (I have the headache this morning to prove it)! In honor of their wedding, I thought I’d share the engagement session that we did together this past fall. We spent the day at a local farm where Phil worked as a teenager. These are some of my all time favorite photos!

Lindsy & Alex Wedding – Franklin, MA

When I started choosing photos for this blog post, I selected a ridiculous amount of them. It’s so hard to choose favorites when the person in the photos is someone you love. Lindsy is a dear friend, and just about the kindest & sweetest person I know, so I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding. She and her handsome groom Alex were married at the LDS temple in Boston on a chilly fall day, and we spent some time on the grounds there before heading to their ring ceremony & reception in Franklin. Congratulations Lindsy & Alex!!

Kaelyn & Brian – Boston

Kaelyn & Brian were married on a gorgeous September day in an outdoor ceremony on the Boston Common, followed by a reception at the UMass Club. Kaelyn & her mom and Maid of Honor got ready across the street at the Langham hotel with the help of Heather from ‘I Do’. There was the most beautiful light streaming through the curtains, it was like hitting the photo jackpot. Kaelyn, you’re stunning.

Billy & Bri – Fenway Park Engagement Session

A few months ago, I donated a portrait session to a silent auction to benefit a family member battling cancer. I was thrilled when Billy & Bri won the auction and even more excited when they told me that they wanted to do their engagement photos at Fenway Park! I’ve been a big Red Sox fan ever since I attended college in Boston & had an apartment right down the street from Fenway. I used to open my windows on game days while watching the game on our TV & was able to hear the cheers coming from down the street.

It was such a surreal experience to be in the park with no one else there.

The day that we did the engagement session was the same day that Terry Francona announced that he was leaving the team. (We were actually in the elevator with the woman from the park when she received the official email announcement.) There were reporters all over the place, and one stopped us and asked for quotes. Billy was in the newspaper the next morning!

Christy & Jeremy – Rotch-Jones-Duff House, New Bedford, MA

Christy & Jeremy were married in an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of the Roch-Jones-Duff Museum in New Bedford. You’d never have guessed to look at them that it was one of the hottest weekends of the year, everyone was too busy having way too much fun.

Christy was sure to set aside plenty of time for us to take some amazing photos at Ned’s point lighthouse and in downtown New Bedford. Their bridal party was so much fun, and totally knew how to work it.

The reception took place at the Century House in Acushnet, and the dance floor was packed all night long.

Let me tell you, this bouquet toss was intense.

Hello friends! Just checking in to let you know that I’m still alive and kicking. This last month has been my busiest ever. You heard it here first, folks: September is the new June when it comes to weddings. I’ll be back soon with new wedding and engagement photos, including a session at Fenway Park!
